Coastal Vulnerability Assessment for Community Resilience on Abrasion: Case of Bugel Coast, Kulon Progo Regency, Indonesia

Thus, rapid assessment vulnerability necessary determine an effective management response. This paper aims analyze level using assessment, geomorphology areas, community resilience impact. methods used mapping segments are smartline index (CVI). Smartline method depicted with line that runs along coast information geomorphological conditions, whereas CVI will give weight each physical parameter vulnerability. Results showed average area decreased 4,794.94 m2 /year retreated 4.36 m/year until borders become closer one another, thereby threatening area. was dominated moderate 325.14 m (30.48%) high 322.31 (30.22%) total study areas. result indicated huge risk erosion. Therefore, adaptation mitigation strategies should considered reduce degradation border resources ensure sustainability life, such as combination structural non-structural mitigations prioritize ecosystems.
